Email updates from RaceBuddy
When you sign up for RaceBuddy you can choose to receive product updates by email. This page explains exactly what that opt-in covers, what we store, and how to leave the list at any time.
What you'll get
If you opt in, we'll send you:
- Product news — new app features, hardware launches, and beta invites for what's coming next.
- Tips and guides — practical advice for getting more out of drag mode, lap timer, and the dyno calculator.
- Community highlights — occasional roundups — leaderboard records, fastest runs, what other racers are doing.
- Important pricing or plan changes — if anything changes about subscriptions or paid tiers, you'll hear it from us first.
We do not use this list for transactional account email (sign-in verification, password resets, run-sync notifications, security alerts). Those are sent through a separate channel and you receive them regardless of whether you opted in here.
How often
One or two emails per month at most. Never more than once a week. If we don't have anything meaningful to say, we don't send.
What we store
If you opt in, we keep three pieces of information specifically for this list:
- Your email address
- Your first name (used to personalise the greeting, where we have it)
- The date and time you opted in (so we have a record of your consent)
We don't track which emails you open or which links you click on this list. For everything we hold as part of your account in general, see the full privacy policy.
How to unsubscribe
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer. Click it and you're removed — no login required, no follow-up confirmation.
You can also email privacy@rbuddy.io and we'll remove you within a few days.
Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not affect your RaceBuddy account or transactional emails (sign-in, password resets, security alerts). Those continue regardless.
Your rights
Under the GDPR (and the equivalent laws in the UK, California, and several other regions), you can ask us at any time to:
- See the data we hold about you (access)
- Correct anything that's wrong (rectification)
- Delete your account and the data attached to it (erasure)
- Export your data in a portable format (data portability)
- Withdraw consent for marketing email (this is what unsubscribe does)
